Join us in this affinity group for an action-based conversation about disability/neurodiversity as practitioners in the Playback Theatre world. What is it like? How do we manage?

Jennie Kristel (she/her/hers)

Jennie Kristel, MA, REAT, APTT, RMT is a registered expressive arts therapist, supervisor, Eco artist and a core instructor at Lesley University. Being raised in the shadows of the Holocaust and born with disability has deeply framed her outlook and work as a social justice-based clinician. Jennie is an international trainer and has written on using the arts and published chapters and articles related to using Playback Theatre to support people experiencing grief and trauma.

Michael Watson (he/they)

Michael Watson, MA, PhD, recently retired after a 40 year career as a mental health trauma clinician and college educator and administrator. He is a visual and theatre artist, and writer, of Native American and European heritage. He had polio at age seven and has been a lifetime advocate for disability and Native rights, and the rights of the non-human world. He is a long time Playback Theatre practitioner.
